Bass Strait Maritime Centre launches upgraded shipping simulator

The Bass Strait Maritime Centre in Devonport, Tasmania has recently unveiled state-of-the-art upgrades to its SS Woniora shipping simulator.

This simulator offers visitors the chance to captain a ship through Devonport’s maritime history, navigating treacherous waters while reliving the golden age of sail.

“We’ve taken a huge leap forward,” said Joanna Gair, Museum Coordinator at BSMC. “Our new simulator will blow your mind! We have left behind Devonport in the 1890s and entered the 1920s, immersing visitors in a brand-new maritime universe. It’s a thrilling, hands-on journey through time.”
