PS Canally sets off after $1.8 million restoration
PS Canally is an historic vessel, originally built as a barge in 1907 and converted to a paddle steamer in 1912. PS Canally worked on the Murray River for many decades, but was abandoned after the 1950s. In 1999 it was raised, and from 2012 underwent a significant restoration project which spanned 13 years and $1.8 million.
In February of this year, PS Canally steamed off from its temporary home in Mannum Dock to continue its service on the Murray.
PS Canally is listed on the Australian Register of Historic Vessels, and more information is available via Facebook.
